This stretch of hot and dry weather is going to put real stress on turf, especially in known hot spots. Please stay ahead of it — monitor stressed areas closely and address issues early before they escalate.

Now is the time to get proactive with irrigation:

• Check and service irrigation pumps
• Clean filters
• Clean and adjust heads
• Look for pressure issues or coverage gaps
• Identify any irrigation upgrades that could help reduce stress

A lot of what happens over the next few months will come down to how well systems are running. Let’s stay ahead of it.
